Walmart Canada plans to invest $3.5 billion over the next five years to simplify the online and in-store shopping experience, including the creation of 150 “stores of the future.”. In addition to re-invented “smarter” stores, the investment will lead to a faster e-commerce experience, two new distribution centers to speed up the flow of products, an enhanced omni-experience and modern.
Walmart Canada more than tripled its preorders of Tesla Semi trucks, increasing its reservations to 130 vehicles. The company intends to electrify 20% of its fleet by 2022, and to run its entire. The Walmart Canada Twitter account (@WalmartCanada) replied to Twitter user ‘@ Shawzborne,’ noting “customers can expect to see tap payment in stores in November.” That likely means credit and debit card tap, as well as mobile payment systems like Apple and Google Pay, will soon work in Walmart stores. It work – today we knew about a PS5 restock and instant sent the information to our Twitter followers so that they could buy the console before anyone else. Other restock locations in the US got the same treatment this week, including Target, Sam's Club, Antonline and Sony Direct. There was no Walmart PS5 restock this week, but we should see more stock next week, while Amazon is suspiciously overdue.

Next Best Buy PS5 restock date

We just saw the PS5 Best Buy restock today, and that means the electronics retailer is 6-for-6 on restocking the Sony console on Fridays. We caution that PS5 inventory is still – and we've only seen PS5 Disc for the past two weeks. There was a 0% chance of a PS5 Digital Edition restock, according to our restock tracker, and that was correct.

Best Buy PS5 restock tips
Buying the PS5 at Best Buy isn't easy. Basically, you need to click on the yellow 'Add to Cart' button, wait for the greyed out button to cycle through (it can take a while) and turn yellow again. Click it to add to your cart again and check out as quickly as possible. Jake Randall, YouTuber and restock tracker aficionado, has excellent PS5 restock tips in this video.
Maybe the most important thing to keep in mind is to have patience. We receive thousands of replies from people who check the link and give up instantly saying 'Sold out.' Inventory happens in waves at PS5 retailers, and giving up too soon is the biggest mistake we see people make.

Our white whale. Amazon is overdue for a PS5 restock, but nothing is ever confirmed at the online retail giant. We were sent information that a restock was scheduled for Thursday, March 18 with 46,000 consoles up for grabs, but that was last week. The Amazon PS5 restock date clearly got shifted – and we're not sure why. Amazon did have Xbox inventory already this week. Maybe it'll offload those 46,000 console in inventory next week. But really, who knows?

The next Walmart PS5 restock date may be Thursday, April 1, according to the recent pattern that the retailer has followed with its PS5 drops. We didn't see a restock this week for the PS5 (only Xbox Series X restock via Microsoft's All Access bundle). While we think Walmart may stick to its pattern, we also know takes the longest of any retailer to ship the console to consumers, so this one is far from confirmed.

Target PS5 restock date

Target employees have been the best at tipping us off at when there will be a PS5 restock, and it seems to be happening every two weeks and right on time. It's always been in the morning, recently between 7am EDT and and 9am EDT. Be warned, the PS5 restock time can fluctuate beyond that too, judging from past Target PS5 orders at launch, but it hasn't changed too much recently. Like Walmart, Target inventory has been light, but two weeks should be enough catch-up time for the retailer.

Sony's official stores restocks more often than any single retailer and it uses a lottery system to keep things fair – and keep bots at bay. You need a PSN account and it's one PS5 console per household. With a virtual queue that's randomized, we're always 'in line' for the PS5 and attempting to reach checkout. About every other week, we can get through (but we never completely buy PS5 – just going through the motions for reporting purposes).
Sam's Club and Costco PS5 restock

We've seen Sam's Club and Costco PS5 restock activity each week, but inventory at these US wholesale retailers is always unannounced and extremely limited. Costco requires to be a member to buy a PS5, while Sam's Club tries to lure you into buying a membership – or allows you to sign up as a guest. At both stores, the PS5 restock lasts about five minutes or less, especially after we tweet about it via our Twitter tracker. But five minutes is a lifetime in this game.

If you haven’t yet managed to find any PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S consoles in your hopefully online-only Black Friday travels, take comfort in the fact that you definitely aren’t alone. Stock of Sony and Microsoft’s next-generation consoles have been thin on the ground ever since they officially launched over two weeks ago, and unless you happen to already have your name on a wait list at EB Games, a reliable connection at a local Mom n’ Pop game store, or are willing to pay a scalper or bot rental service a small fortune to procure one of these coveted consoles, online purchasing is the only option left to most would-be-buyers, and odds are likely that those efforts will almost certainly be in vain. Even with both Sony and Microsoft pledging their upmost efforts to put out as many additional units as possible between now and the end of the year, trying to divine just how many of those machines will specifically make their way to Canadian retailers (as opposed to American ones) is a nigh-impossible task without some sort of hint.
Thankfully, Walmart Canada has stepped up and thrown would-be PS5 and Xbox Series hunters a bone in a recent Twitter announcement. While there won’t be any PS5 or Xbox Series units available during this Walmart’s Black Friday sales this week (including Cyber Monday, which the retailer has strived to make crystal clear in its communications with its followers), information regarding the next online restock of both consoles is forthcoming. In fact, it’s coming as soon as the week following, according to the retailer’s official Walmart Canada Gaming account:
Granted, if you are on the hunt for a PS5 or Xbox Series console, this announcement is hardly a guarantee that you’ll be able to secure anything at all, as both scalpers and bots alike will certainly be monitoring anything that Walmart Canada and its social media accounts declare in relation to this news. It could all just end up leading to another crazy few hours of PlayStation and Xbox fans desperately refreshing their online carts and screaming into the abyss in frustration, but given that at least some of those genuine customers stand a chance to secure a next-gen console before the holiday, there’s still a faint glimmer of hope.
In the meantime, as someone who has personally had success securing an Xbox Series X purchase for a family member at one of my local EB Games stores, I strongly suggest calling up your local EB and putting your name on a waiting list as a backup. It costs nothing to do so, and while you’ll have to actually go pick up the unit in store within 24 hours if your reservation is successful, EB Games locations employ appointment pick-up windows to avoid crowding and follow local social distancing guidelines, so if you are already comfortable enough to safely and responsibly venture out to the mall to get your essentials, it might be worth try.
